  • Final value on etoro decreased more than loss

Hello,

I've invested 3k in my virtual portfolio copying low risk traders and basically left it for a year without any interventions (to test how etoro would work as passive investment).
Now I see the profit is added to invested amount (which is logical) and investment+profit=value, but in the case of loss the final value is much lower than the loss (investment-loss>value).
I was going through different menu's but can't find any figures explaining that, only see that "money out" is higher than the "loss".
Could anyone help to explain?

It's probably the fees. The "value" has this formula:
Initial + Money In/Out + P/L - Fees

I suggest you read more about the eToro fees guide.

a year later
wikiboss changed the title to Final value on etoro decreased more than loss .
